Business Development Director
Description
The business development director is a sales professional who demonstrates the ability to manage the entire sales cycle by developing strong customer relationships, partnerships, and profitable transactions on behalf of Cassady Schiller. In addition, the Business Development Director must be able to successfully develop managers in the area of sales and marketing. The Business Development Director must be accountable to established goals. Compensation includes a base and incentive compensation.
Responsibilities:
The responsibilities include growing profitable revenue by selling the Cassady Schiller portfolio of services primarily to non-clients. This requires the ability to:
- Manage the entire lifecycle of the sales process on prospects that includes involving Cassady Schiller experts as needed.
- Articulate and position the full spectrum of Cassady Schiller services and solutions to decision makers.
- Develop relationships with top-level decision makers across all functions of a given business.
- Manage the entire proposal process.
- Aggressively pursue competitive accounts and differentiate Cassady Schiller solutions/services from competitors.
- Use a disciplined approach that documents and provides feedback to management regarding sales activities and success.
- Achieve assigned revenue objectives while achieving profitable revenue.
- Establish and adhere to a business development budget.
- Identify and sell value-added solutions to assigned client(s) and/or targeted client types.
- Participate with the niche teams in strategic account planning and sales activities, including participation in sales calls (collaborative sales).
- Participate with the niche teams as needed to develop a sales business plan.
- Oversee the niche team progress to their sales business plan.
- Provide business development and sales coaching and training to other members of the firm.
- Streamline and enhance the firm-wide proposal process.
- Responsible for lead generation including, researching and prescreening potential targets.
Requirements:
- BS/BA degree in business or equivalent experience
- Executive presence – integrity, trust, strong communication skills
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and presentation skills
- Personal drive and internal motivation toward high achievement
- Demonstrated successful sales track record
- Ability to coach others in sales area
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Ability to influence, negotiate and gain commitment at all organizational levels
- Ability to manage the lifecycle of the sales opportunities
- Ability to close business-to-business sales for services
- Ability to quickly obtain credible knowledge of Cassady Schiller services
- Proficiency in using the internet for research
- Proficiency in using MS Office applications, e.g., PowerPoint in communications and presentations
Prefer:
- Cincinnati business connections
- Industry knowledge or prior public accounting experience is a plus
Tax Manager
Description
Cassady Schiller is one of the top 12 accounting firms in Cincinnati and a 2010 finalist and 2011 winner of the Cincinnati Business Courier’s Best Places to Work award. We are searching for an experienced tax manager.
Responsibilities will include:
Review tax returns (individual, corporate, partnership and fiduciary)
- Research tax issues
- Manage client relationships
- Contribute to policies and procedures of the tax department
- Oversee, develop and train staff and senior employees
- Integral part of the practice development process
Requirements:
- 3 + years of experience in a tax manager position
- Certified Public Accountant
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Prior CPA firm experience
- Good communication skills
- Excellent client service
- Must be analytical, a self-starter, motivated, and organized
- Ability to juggle many projects simultaneously
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office 2007
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat
- Knowledge of the ProSystem fx product suite is a plus
